IRC Nigeria CEO Awarded Africa Most Respected HR Personality
Dr. Ije Jidenma, the Founder and CEO of IRC Nigeria and a notable Human Resources & Organizational Development consultant, was conferred with the award of “Africa Most Respected HR Personality of the Year” by the African Development Magazine (ADM).
The Award Ceremony, which attracted captains of industry from across the African Continent, including from the development sector, was held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya on 20th November 2015.
The Guest Speakers at the event were Mr Gabriel Negetu, the Regional Director (East Africa) African Development Bank and Dr Richard Munag, the Co-ordinator, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
“Africa is the next frontier and we, the Africans are the ones to make the rising of our continent inevitable and sustainable by networking and collaborating within our continent. We must facilitate the reduction of barriers be they physical, man-made or even psychological so that with our local commitment and global connectedness, we can realize our full potential and take our rightful place in the world”, says Ije.
Ije Jidenma holds a PhD in Psychology with specialization in Psychometrics from University of Lagos. She is the Founder & CEO of IRC Nigeria (Leading Edge Consulting), a member firm of IRC Global Executive Search Partners, the fastest growing global alliance of retained executive search firms.
She also serves as an Independent Non Executive Director of First Bank of Nigeria Limited.
Her rich post-graduation experience garnered over a period of more than thirty years, traverses academia, 'hands on' practice and consulting experience in functional areas such as Learning and Development, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development and Strategic Planning.
She worked for Industrial Training Fund, Merchant Bank of Africa and Price Waterhouse (now PwC). Her leadership and executive development has seen her occupy top management and non-executive board roles in Corporate Nigeria and in highly reputable non-for profit organizations. She is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and Institute of Directors where she currently serves on its Governing Council.
