Chris Wierz Joins Witt/Kiffer as Principal
Chris Wierz brings over 30 years of healthcare experience to her executive search practice, including 20 years in healthcare information technology. She is a Principal based in the firm’s Oak Brook, Illinois office, identifying leaders on behalf of hospitals and integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, managed care companies, physician organisations, healthcare associations, vendors, consulting firms and universities.
Ms Wierz has expertise in strategic and business planning, developing executive and physician relationships, project management and contract negotiations. Throughout her career she has recruited a wide variety of healthcare executives, senior leaders and directors for various roles and understands the ever changing and unique healthcare IT industry landscape across the country and the diverse skills necessary to be successful. In addition to strong executive and physician relationships, Ms Wierz is an fluent in interpreting federal regulations, including ARRA Meaningful Use assessments, HIPAA interpretations and evaluations, and ICD-10 classification
assessments and implementation.
Prior to joining Witt/Kieffer, Ms Wierz served as partner and Epic service line executive for Encore Health Resources (now a Quintiles company). Previously, she was principal of the Courtyard Group, an international healthcare transformation company, and has also served as a client services principal with IBM Global Business Services where she managed business consulting services for large academic health centers and integrated delivery networks. Prior to joining IBM she was executive vice president for Healthlink, a national healthcare IT consulting firm. She has had proven success in launching major technology initiatives and systems implementation
across a variety of healthcare organisations focusing on improving clinical and strategic outcomes.
Ms Wierz is formerly assistant head nurse of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and staff nurse at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Ms Wierz is a speaker in federal regulations and education, awareness, strategic planning and implementation. She speaks frequently on behalf of the Health Information Management Systems Society and has spoken at the National Managed Healthcare Congress, CHIME, the HealthCare Forum and the International Nursing Informatics Congress plus multiple state wide organisations.
