GRMSearch Announces Growth Plans
Following a 32% year-on-year growth in gross profit for Q3, executive search firm GRMSearch has announced its plans to expand.
GRMSearch has re-opened its Australian office under the leadership of legal recruiter Paul Garth. Based in Melbourne, Mr Garth has over 13 years’ experience working with international firms, regional practices and in-house teams in the market.
“We are delighted to welcome Paul to the team. He is a true leader in the legal recruitment market in Victoria and without a doubt the best placed to help us grow our presence in Melbourne and Australia. He is a consummate professional with a real passion for the legal industry,” said GRMSearch CEO Rob Green.
GRMSearch has also partnered with a number of business representatives in Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore and Japan. Directors Penelope Hamilton, Rudi Depaepe, Helen Cole and Simon Chambers join the firm in Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore and Japan, respectively.
“Recruitment activity is a good barometer of the health of a country’s economy, and it’s very encouraging to see such a boom in activity and gross profit,” said Mr Green.
He added: “Following our launch in Asia during 2009, there have been some turbulent times with both crippling hiring freezes and intermittent periods of growth. It finally feels like the industry is back on track with companies rolling out long-term growth strategies offering candidates excellent career development opportunities.”
GRMSearch launched its first office outside of Australasia in Johannesburg, South Africa, in January 2014. Spearheading the development of the office is Attorney and Director Dale Verster. He and his team of local headhunters offer GRM’s executive search service to both the private practice and in-house markets in major cities including Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
Speaking of the decision to grow into South Africa, Mr Green said: “Our launch into the Johannesburg legal and compliance recruitment market is a major part of our global strategy. We have watched and studied the growing importance of South Africa and the African continent to our international clients who are now entering the market in great numbers, we will use this as a platform to enter frontier markets in Africa to offer our service throughout the continent.”
