Researcher Forum Launch Due To Take Place
A launch event for The Researcher Forum (RF), a global, free of charge platform for executive search researchers, is due to take place on Thursday 16 January 2014.
The event will be held at 6pm at the Charing Cross Hotel, London.
RF, which has the goal of creating best practice and excellence within the executive research community, will provide news, information and learning opportunities for members as well as helping them feel better connected.
With support and contributions from members, RF hopes to improve the professional status and visibility of researchers in the search industry.
Full membership of RF is open to all executive researchers globally, including in-house researchers and talent managers, independent freelance researchers, researchers within research consultancies and agencies, and those working for search firms.
Launched in December 2013, RF has so far attracted over 100 members, including researchers and heads of talent from the UK, the US, Australia, France and Finland.
The key areas of focus for RF will be:
RF’s market research showed that researchers often feel disconnected from each other. Through sharing ideas and insights, RF hopes it will allow researchers to build a firm sense of community, become better informed and build a stronger presence as a collective. This will be achieved through:
• The Forum – this fully moderated, central hub allows researchers to join discussions and debates on a range of industry topics.
• The Blog – regularly updated content provided by members, the RF advisory board and figures in the research industry.
• Tool Guide – a section allowing researchers to share current information on the tools and techniques that allow them to do their jobs better.
• Events – As well as online meetings and webinars, RF will be hosting regular events allowing researchers to network in person.
To support members in their careers, RF will offer complementary salary benchmarking and psychometrics, as well as an opportunity to partake in a career assessment. For researchers considering career moves, RF can offer confidential advice.
