RSA Interims Celebrates 10th Anniversary
RSA, a global life sciences executive search and interim management specialist, celebrated 10 years of working with clients and Interim Managers across the life sciences industry, at a celebratory event on 14th June at the Royal Automobile Club in central London.
As the only Life Sciences industry specialist member of the Interim Management Association (IMA), Keith Hobson, Executive Director and Founder of RSA Interims, spoke about the evolution of the Interim Management sector as a whole and gave praise to Nick Stephens, RSA’s CEO, as “the one who had the vision and entrepreneurial enterprise to see how RSA could enhance and grow an already successful Executive Search business”.
Founded in 2002, Mr. Hobson found himself spending a lot of time educating the market about different areas where Interim Managers could improve business and to his surprise; many people did not understand this concept. There was also a lack of information about the size of the market, what the main sectors were and the average rates. After serving as deputy chairman on the IMA for a number of years, Mr. Hobson decided to do something about the lack of information and commissioned market researchers to create regular market surveys. This endeavour was evident in his speech: “So today I can tell you how big the market is, I can tell you what the average day rate of an Interim manager is and how that varies across different sectors and over time. I can also tell you the different reasons Interims are being employed and which are the largest”.
Mr. Hobson gave special mention to Evy Young who has made a tremendous contribution throughout the life of RSA’s Interim business. Ms. Young was the first person he hired and continues to work closely within the RSA Interims team.
Commenting on RSA Interims anniversary, Perry Evans, Director of Interims at RSA, says, “Headcount freezes in recent years have made the delivery of high quality and flexible support an absolute priority for life sciences companies. RSA Interim Managers are experienced and highly qualified professionals who handle an array of vital roles – it is the quality of our people that makes the difference. I thank them and our clients for their trust and support, and look forward to working with them to build and refine this capability further in the coming years”.
